Fall Creek is creating a world with better blueberries through its friendly, collaborative team spread across the globe. To help us accomplish this, we are seeking a qualified Laboratory Custodian. This position will be located in Lowell, OR. 

The Fall Creek Laboratory Custodian is responsible for daily general cleaning, wet mopping, vacuuming, window cleaning (interior windows), restroom cleaning and trash/recycle removal. In addition, this position is responsible for helping with stock maintenance of supplies, deep cleaning of critical areas and assisting other departments as needed. A thorough understanding of maintaining the integrity of production processes and protecting from contaminants is necessary. Ability to multitask. 

What you'll do at Fall Creek:

• Utilizes protective gear in all appropriate functions as required.
• Performs cleaning activities within well established guidelines and assigned areas and shift(s) to ensure that quality standards, safety guidelines, and expectations are met.
• Responsible for ensuring cleaning activities do not interfere with laboratory functions.
• Demonstrates awareness and avoids activities that risk contamination of ongoing lab activities.
• Responsible for satisfactory and timely completion of assigned areas according to schedule.
• Reports equipment/cleaning product needs and or malfunctions to supervisor in a timely fashion.
• Responsible for cleaning, wet mopping, vacuuming, window cleaning (interior windows), restroom cleaning and trash/recycle removal.
• Responsible for deep cleaning of Transfer Rooms, Plant Growth Rooms and other areas using established protocols, as per schedule or as directed.
• Responsible for proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions.
• Assists Media Preparation department with cleaning and washing of containers and discarding of waste.
• Washing and putting laundry away.
• Unpacking inventory shipments, and stocking supplies as directed.
• Follows Fall Creek guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure that a sanitary environment is always maintained. Follows proper reporting, isolation and handwashing procedures/techniques.

• Typically requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to read and follow detailed instructions in English.
• Requires the ability to be highly organized in handling daily tasks and supplies.
• Ability to collaborate with team members, develop strong relationships, and maintain a positive attitude.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a clean environment with limited access to the outdoors.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
