Laboratory Technician (Eng/Tech) - Entry

Responsibilities

Laboratory Technician position in the Performance Films R&D Technology group responsibilities:

1. Product Development: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and improve new products, formulations, or applications based on customer requirements and market trends.
2. Testing and Analysis: Conducting laboratory experiments and tests to evaluate the performance, quality, and properties of materials, products, or formulations.
3. Process Optimization: Identifying opportunities to optimize manufacturing processes, such as formulation, mixing, coating, or application techniques, to enhance product performance and efficiency.
4. Troubleshooting: Investigating and resolving technical issues related to product performance, application methods, or customer inquiries to ensure customer satisfaction.
5. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyzing and interpreting experimental data, generating reports, and communicating findings to cross-functional teams, management, or customers.
6. Technical Support: Providing technical assistance and support to customers, sales teams, or manufacturing teams regarding product applications, troubleshooting, or process optimization.
7. Safety and Compliance: Ensuring compliance with safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and quality standards during product development and testing activities.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor degree in chemistry​
2. CNAS/ISO certified lab work experience is preferred but not necessary.
3. Color development experience in refinish and OEM coating is preferred.
4. Formal training in general laboratory procedures.
5. Problem solving, math and science skills and familiarity with statistical methodology.
6. Initiative and the ability to work in a team setting. Clear and effective written and oral communication is essential.
7. General computer experience with relevant and Microsoft software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
