Lead Full Stack Developer - Security Focus

We’re looking for a Technical Lead Full Stack Developer to join our Digital Practice. In this role, you’ll lead a team to help secure mission-critical systems against internal and external threats in the fast-paced landscape of software security.
What You Will Do | Ngā haepapa
- Use your superb communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Mentor other developers and share knowledge within the team
- Improve security of systems by addressing vulnerabilities and applying best practices to Front-end (Angular) and Back-end (C#) applications
- Contribute to design and architecture decisions, and advocate for software development and security best practices
- The hands-on aspect: Write clean and maintainable code with accompanying automated tests
- Find new ways to leverage AI coding tools for efficiencies
- Participate in code reviews, Scrum ceremonies, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Stay up to date with security, front- and back-end technology trends, tools, patterns, best practices and emerging technologies
- Collaborate with designers, stakeholders and developers to understand requirements, and build functionality into existing applications following software development and security best practices
What You’ll Bring | Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako
Must-Have:
- 8+ years of commercial experience in software development, including both Front- and Back-end
- Demonstratable experience in leading teams of developers
- Superb communication skills, oral and written, and ability to articulate technical subjects to non-technical stakeholders
- Great interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Customer-facing experience, both in terms of presales activities and project-led interactions
- Solid knowledge of software development best practices, especially security related
- Experience working on large legacy-heavy codebases
- Web application API development experience, including ASP.NET APIs, Azure Functions/API Management, or similar frameworks
- Proven experience with the Microsoft development stack for Back-end development: Building JSON-based RESTful APIs in C# (.NET Core), with Azure Functions/API management and SQL Server for data storage
- Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS, and utilising modern front-end SPA frameworks, specifically Angular, for application development
- Experience integrating front-end applications with JSON-based RESTful APIs
- Experience using AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, etc.) to aid development
- Experience with setting up and configuring CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) especially in the context of build and test automation
- Excellent time management, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Right to work in NZ
Nice-to-Have:
- Exposure to Scrum or other Agile-based frameworks and methodologies
- Exposure to testing frameworks (e.g., Jasmine, Karma, Cypress)
