Are you a seasoned Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Functional Consultant who thrives on unpacking and solving complex business challenges, leading workshops, delivery teams, and translating strategy into practical, well-designed solutions that drive measurable outcomes?

We are looking for a D365 CE Functional Consultant to join our high-performing D365 team in Wellington. This role will suit someone who is passionate about leading functional solution design and delivery, mentoring others, engaging confidently with stakeholders, shaping scalable and well-structured solutions, documenting requirements clearly, and ensuring seamless alignment between business users and delivery teams, while driving innovation across the Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform ecosystems.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading discovery sessions and solution design.
  • Bridging the gap between business and technical teams.
  • Architecting fit-for-purpose Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and Power Platform solutions.
  • Leading cross-functional teams of developers and functional consultants to deliver high-quality outcomes for customers.
  • Coaching and mentoring consultants and contributing to internal capability development.
  • Driving product innovation and reusability through internal development initiatives.
  • Driving best practice across analysis, documentation, and delivery.
  • Remaining actively involved post-implementation, nurturing long-term customer relationships, guiding optimisation opportunities, and ensuring customers continue to receive the best possible support and value from their solution after go-live.
  • Representing Theta in the wider Dynamics 365 and Power Platform community through forums, presentations, and events

Skills and experience | Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and Power Platform
  • Experience in leading and delivering small, medium and large-scale projects across a range of industries.
  • Strong expertise in functional solution architecture, analysis, design, configuration and end-to-end delivery within Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform.
  • Ability to identify and shape practical AI and Copilot use cases within Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform, embedding them into solution design where they deliver measurable value. Experience is ideal, but a strong interest and active development in this area is equally welcome.
  • Familiarity with leveraging AI tools (e.g., Copilot) to enhance productivity in analysis, documentation, and solution design.
  • Proven leadership in delivering successful projects and managing stakeholder relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills, including strong verbal and written English, with the ability to present confidently and facilitate effective workshops.
  • Ability to lead and guide stakeholders through business problem analysis and translate strategic objectives into practical, scalable Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions.
