Guernsey Police are looking to appoint a Learning & Development Officer to join the Team in Law Enforcement.
Due to the wide variety of training and skills required, Bailiwick of Guernsey Law Enforcement have a dedicated Learning & Development Department who oversee the full tranche of training including initial recruit training and specialist training undertaken locally and within the UK. The Learning & Development Executive Officer will provide proactive administrative support for the Department, including minuting meetings, maintenance of records and booking and arranging training and travel.
The post holder will be required to undertake some out of hours duties when required for recruitment activities.

Job Description
Law Enforcement Vetting:
The successful candidate will be required to complete a Law Enforcement Vetting e-Form. If you are successful at interview, a copy of your passport and your Guernsey Social Security Number or UK National Insurance number will then be forwarded to the Guernsey Vetting Unit by HR; please ensure this information is entered / uploaded onto your job application. A link to access your Law Enforcement Vetting e-Form will then be sent to you via email by the Guernsey Vetting Unit.
In order to satisfy residency criteria, you need to have been resident in the UK or Guernsey for a period of 3 years. The calculation of the period of time refers to the period immediately before an application is made and not any other period or accumulation of time spent in the UK or Guernsey. The process will assess an individual's behaviour and conduct to determine their honesty, integrity, trustworthiness, maturity, reliability, and overall suitability to work in policing. It will consider criminal history, financial information, relationships, and any other adverse information, to determine the outcome.
