Banqer At Banqer, we believe every student should be empowered to financially thrive. More than 750,000 students across Australasia have experienced our classroom-based financial education, brought to life through real-world financial simulations that make learning engaging, relevant, and meaningful. We make delivering world-leading financial education easy, equipping teachers with innovative tools to deliver impactful learning experiences that prepare students for life beyond the classroom. With education and people at our core, and technology as our enabler, we're here to create meaningful impact in communities while building a commercially strong and sustainable business. The Role We're looking for a Learning Designer to help us bring the next generation of Banqer Primary to life. We're rebuilding Banqer Primary from the ground up, and the teaching resources are the part students and teachers touch every day. We've started the groundwork, and now we're looking for someone to bring it to life: the units, lesson plans, lesson slides, and quizzes that make up the programme. You'll report to the Chief Product Officer and work alongside our product team, who'll help make sure the resources you create sequence beautifully with the simulation students learn in. There's a lot of high-quality content to create, and a timeline to work towards together. It's a role for an experienced teacher who's energised by making things — someone who can take a year plan and a curriculum objective and turn it into lessons a teacher can pick up and deliver with confidence. You'll write, gather feedback, and refine your work as you go, with AI helping you cover more ground. At the end of the contract, success looks like a complete, classroom-ready set of resources across our NZ and AU year levels: thoughtfully sequenced, mapped to the curriculum, and trusted by teachers to deliver. This is a six-month fixed-term contract at 37.5 hours per week, though we can be flexible on hours for the right person. We'd love to have you working from our Christchurch office.

Key Responsibilities • Resource creation: Write the units, lesson plans, lesson slides, quizzes, and teaching notes that make up the programme — to a high standard, across a full set of year levels. • Curriculum alignment: Map every resource to the relevant frameworks — NZ Maths (Number, Statistics) and Social Sciences (Economic Activity), AU Maths and Humanities (Consumer & Financial Literacy) — and maintain coverage documentation so schools can see exactly how Banqer fits. • Writing for two audiences: Create teacher-facing materials a non-specialist can deliver with minimal prep, and student-facing content that's age-appropriate, clear, and engaging across the year levels. • Product collaboration: Work closely with the product team so lessons sequence with simulation features. • Iteration: Take feedback from teachers, students, and the team, and turn it into better resources together. • Quality assurance: Review your work for curriculum alignment, pedagogical soundness, factual accuracy of financial concepts, and accessibility before it's shared.
