About the Role:

The States of Guernsey are looking for a part time Health & Social Care Lecturer to join the team at The Guernsey Institute. 

Are you passionate about Health & Social Care and eager to shape the future workforce? We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and motivated Part-Time 0.4FTE (14.4 hours per week) Lecturer in Health & Social Care to join our successful and supportive team.This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality teaching across our Level 2 NCFE and Level 3 BTEC Health & Social Care programmes, supporting students to achieve their full potential and progress into higher education, apprenticeships and rewarding careers within the health and social care sector.

 

About the Role
You will teach and support learners across a range of Health & Social Care units, delivering engaging, inclusive and industry-relevant lessons that inspire and motivate students. Working as part of a committed team, you will help learners develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed for success within the sector.The role includes:Planning and delivering engaging teaching, learning and assessment on Level 2 NCFE and Level 3 BTEC Health & Social Care programmesSupporting student achievement, progression and wellbeing through high-quality pastoral and academic supportMonitoring learner progress and providing timely, developmental feedbackContributing to curriculum development, quality assurance and standardisation activitiesBuilding strong relationships with employers and placement providers to enrich the learner experience

 

About You
We are looking for someone who:

  • Has relevant vocational experience within the Health & Social Care sector who holds a relevant qualification in Health & Social Care (degree or equivalent desirable)
  • Is passionate about supporting young people to succeed and achieve their ambitions
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Can inspire, motivate and engage learners through innovative teaching approaches

A teaching qualification is desirable; however, support may be available for the right candidate to achieve this.
