Job Role/Title:

Legal Associate

Reporting to:

Senior Manager, Legal

Job Objectives:

Responsible for providing legal support to the company and supporting the company secretary.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Authentication of documents
  2. Filing of Statutory Returns to the Corporate Affairs Commission
  3. Maintaining the Statutory Registers of the Company
  4. Arranging of meetings (Board, AGM, EGM, Committee Meetings); Issuing Notices & Agenda
  5. Assisting with the drafting and circulation of the minutes of meetings
  6. Managing relations and correspondence with external Legal Advisers
  7. Managing litigation portfolio of the Company
  8. Managing Trademarks Portfolio of the Company
  9. Managing Lease/Property Portfolio of the Company
  10. Conduct Searches at the Lands’ Registry; Preparation of Lease Agreements
  11. Preparation of Franchise Agreements
  12. Managing Stock Options and Employee Staff Trust
  13. Managing corporate communication
  14. Assisting the HR in the preparation of Employees’ Agreements
  15. Ensuring compliance with the Company’s Memart and other statutory and regulatory requirements
  16. Liaising with Regulatory Authorities
  17. Maintaining the Seal Register
  18. Legal Research
