Permacon is a leading North American manufacturer of concrete products serving the landscaping and masonry markets. The company operates 8 production facilities across Quebec and Ontario and employs more than 250 people throughout its various sites. Permacon is a division of Oldcastle® Architectural. 

Job Summary

 

We are currently looking for a Logistics Coordinator (Dispatcher) in our Milton establishment.

 

Reporting to the Costumer Experience Manager, the Logistics Coordinator (Dispatcher) is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery and receipt of products, while providing exceptional service to our customers.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

Here are the main responsibilities for this role:

 

  • Coordinate pickups and deliveries with distributors and distributors transportation companies;
  • Verify drivers' transport vouchers and ensure compliance;
  • Work with different locations to confirm pickup dates and times;
  • Monitor production times, then communicate the deadlines to customers and carriers;
  • Negotiate rates with suppliers to get the best rates;
  • Process orders received by email or phone;
  • Identify and correct shipping errors;
  • Work on different administrative tasks via our CRM tools (Salesforce);
  • Participate in inventory management and perform physical counting.

 

Job Requirements

 

  • High school diploma, College Degree in logistics or diploma in a relevant discipline;
  • 2 years of experience in customer service or logistics;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Good computer knowledge and skills;
  • Teamwork and initiative;
  • Ability to manage stress well;
  • Functional English required.

 

Job compensation/Benefits

  • Annual base salary from 60 000 $ to 65 000 $;
