Overview

The Logistics Coordinator supports the supply chain operations of the company by tracking, tracing and documenting exceptions of products coming from supplier.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Identify shipping exceptions
  • Research each shipping exception by communicating with the carriers and/or suppliers to obtain information on what has caused the delay; documenting the explanation
  • Update purchase orders as needed with new shipping dates, ETA s, quantity changes, etc.
  • Make appropriate changes to purchase order as needed, including cancelling, reinstating and rerouting shipments
  • Release and resend orders to suppliers and carriers
  • Maintain order acknowledgments received from suppliers; update purchase orders with assigned order number or the person s name
  • Set up and maintain vendor information in supply chain system(s), including address, contact, and conditions
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Additional Primary Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency plus 1 year of experience

Physical Demands

  • Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 15lbs
