Job Role & Responsibilities
Role: Process planning & Development of New Process/ Equipments/ Toolings/ Automation for 2 Wh. & CVs
Responsibilities:
Process Planning :
- DFM study, PQS- CTQ points preparation & machining process sequence development to meet final product requirement.
- Fixture, Tooling, Gauges planning for new product/ process under development.
- Rationalization of products & tooling by design simplification to minimize investment & product cost with improved quality.
- Process simplification to meet quality norms.
- Right sizing of equipment & tooling to minimize investment
- Capacity planning & line balancing for OEE improvement
Flawless Manufacturing & Product quality enhancement :
- Establish/ improve Process Cpk using new technologies
- Process reliability improvement with automation & zero human interface
- IIoT & closed loop process implementation for CTQ parameters of Gears, Crankshaft, Camshaft & connecting rod
Cost reduction & Investment avoidance :
- To generate / Innovate VAVE ideas for product cost reduction as well as investment cost avoidance
- Indigenization of Import tooling & Fixture items
Defect free fast product Introduction :
- Development lead time reduction of fixtures/ tools
- To establish necessary Poka Yoke/interlocks for fool proof manufacturing process.
Green Processes :
- Dry Machining process development
- Energy consumption reduction to reduce Carbon Footprint

Competency Requirements
Technical/ Functional:
- Knowledge of basic forging processes, Gear & Transmission Parts manufacturing processes
- Independent process planning & selection of machine tools, Fixture concepts & Cutting tools
- Hands on experience of machine programming & set-up of tools & fixture concepts for holding forging & steel parts.
- Knowledge of Gear design software (Kiss -Soft), Gear inspection graphs, Machine programming Software.
- Concept clarity of capacity planning, SPC techniques & line balancing for OEE improvement
- Capability to analyze process deviations & implement corrective actions with root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of costing concepts & cost analysis.
- Knowledge about various inspection techniques & instruments
- Process standards preparation from global best practices & various DOE results
Soft Skill set:
Excel, Power Point, SAP, Team Centre, NX Unigraphics
Software’s like- Kiss- Soft, DELCAM, VeraCAD, AI Tools
Behavioral
- Flexible to adapt dynamic changes & deliver best results to meet organization requirement.
- Should have good communication skill in verbal as well as written for co-ordination with different departments & vendor base.
