Job Overview

Manages and implements sourcing strategic project lifecycle, identifies emerging issues and trends, and recommends solutions.

Job Requirements

  • Developing and maintaining strategic vendor partners, conducting strategic supplier relationship management, risk analysis, and compliance management programs.
  • Managing the strategic sourcing initiatives, measuring the effectiveness against the key performance indicators, and ensuring compliance with the regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with partners to align sourcing priorities, leading the source selection activities, driving savings, and risk assessment of the vendors.
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce cost, conducting supplier and market analysis to determine the trends, developing, and executing the project implementation plans.

What your background should look like

Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred). 
•    10+ years of sourcing/procurement experience in electronics manufacturing or OEM. 
•    Proven negotiation and supplier management skills. 
•    Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). 
•    Analytical mindset with experience in cost modeling and data analysis. 
•    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment

Preferred Skills
•    Familiarity with NPI processes and product lifecycle management. 
•    Knowledge of supply chain risk management and resiliency planning. 
•    Certification such as CPSM, CSCP, or CIPS is a plus. 

Key Responsibilities
•    Sourcing Strategy 
o    Develop and implement category strategies for key components 
o    Analyze market trends, cost drivers, and technology roadmaps to inform sourcing decisions. 
o    Lead make-vs-buy and total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses. 
•    Supplier Management 
o    Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers globally. 
o    Build long-term strategic partnerships with key suppliers. 
o    Monitor supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery, innovation) and drive continuous improvement. 
•    Cost Management & Negotiation 
o    Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements. 
o    Deliver cost reduction initiatives (VA/VE, should-cost modeling, benchmarking). 
o    Manage budgets and achieve cost targets. 
•    Cross-Functional Collaboration 
o    Partner with engineering, operations, quality, and product management teams during NPI (New Product Introduction). 
o    Influence design decisions for cost, manufacturability, and supply resilience. 
o    Support demand planning and inventory optimization. 

•    Risk & Supply Continuity 
o    Identify supply risks (e.g., single sourcing, geopolitical issues, component shortages). 
o    Develop mitigation plans, including dual sourcing and buffer strategies. 
o    Manage supplier capacity planning and allocation during constraints. 
•    Contract & Compliance Management . 
o    Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., RoHS, REACH, conflict minerals). 
o    Uphold company policies and ethical sourcing standards
