Jardeg is currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Foreperson to work with Technical Workforce Inc. at the Edmonton Shop in Edmonton, AB!

 

The schedule for this position is 5 days on, 2 days off. At this time, only local candidates will be considered.

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Be one of the primary contacts for equipment maintenance and services

 

  • Dispatch techs based on daily schedule (Shop and field) to reduce equipment downtime
  • Assist with troubleshooting / repair equipment when required
  • Review and approve all parts requisitions and maintain ETA for each line item for workload scheduling purposes. Allocate cost to unit
  • Schedule equipment incoming inspections as per site requirements and maintain filing system for auditing purposes (Cat inspect/ Fleet sheet)
  • Review and sign off on daily timecards
  • Review and sign off on maintenance staff safety documentation
  • Perform close out meetings and engage staff
  • Ensure proper permits are in place for repairs depending as per company policies, also make sure specific work area requirements are followed, example, PPE (goggles, respirators, H2S detectors)
  • Be involved in sourcing and interviewing new hires
  • Maintain staff training for equipment movement, training, etc.

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Heavy Duty/Automotive Red Seal Ticket required, dual ticket would be an asset
  • You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory/leadership role
  • Experience in the Construction would be considered an asset
  • Reliable transportation to get to work
  • Candidates must be legally able to work in Canada
  • Drug and Alcohol testing may be required
  • Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize
  • Experience with ordering OEM parts and service programs considered an asset
  • Strong computer skills are required, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
