About your role
QAL has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Planner to join our Utilities Department. Reporting to the Superintendent – Boilerhouse Maintenance, this role supports our Safe, Stable and Sustainable vision by:
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with site health, environmental and community policies, systems and procedures
- Planning and scheduling maintenance activities for equipment and systems within an operational area of the plant
- Collaborating with key stakeholders to maintain asset performance through condition monitoring, development of maintenance plans, work scoping, and short- and long-term scheduling
- Coordinating all resources required to effectively execute maintenance strategies
- Applying technical expertise to achieve agreed production and cost targets while maintaining asset integrity
- Developing budgets and monthly forecasts for assigned assets
- Maintaining accurate records within the Maintenance Master Data system (SAP)
What you will bring
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- A strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Asset Maintenance Management or Project Management (desirable)
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting (highly regarded)
- Proven communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills and a continuous improvement mindset
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, with SAP experience desirable
