Join our team as a Maintenance Planner/ Scheduler
[Known internally as a Schedule and Dispatch Officer]
Play a critical behind-the-scenes role keeping Redland’s wastewater network running reliably every day. As our Maintenance Planner/ Scheduler, you’ll coordinate maintenance across treatment plants and pumping stations - responding to system alarms, allocating crews and contractors, and ensuring work orders move efficiently from creation to close‑out. You’ll also play a vital role in managing stores and inventory, ordering parts, sourcing quotes and ensuring critical breakdown stock is available when it’s needed most - supporting the reliability of essential infrastructure across the city.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Scheduling and dispatching planned and reactive maintenance work orders
- Managing work requests from SCADA alarms, staff and contractors
- Creating, allocating, closing out and reconciling work orders in Assetic (asset managment system)
- Processing invoices, ordering parts and managing quotes and purchases
- Managing stores, inventory, stocktake and breakdown spares
- Coordinating contractors, ferries and specialist services as required
- Monitoring telemetry and performance trends to support asset reliability
- Supporting reporting, audits and continuous improvement initiatives
Skills and experience:
- Experience using Asset Management Systems (e.g. Assetic) to manage work orders
- Strong scheduling, prioritisation and workload coordination skills
- Confidence managing high volumes of work orders in a fast-paced environment
- Experience interpreting telemetry data and responding to system alarms (desired but not essential)
- Proven ability to manage inventories, quotations and contractor services
- Strong administrative capability across finance, reporting and records
- Collaborative communicator with internal teams and external contractors
- Sound understanding of WHS and environmental compliance obligations

- You'll hold a current C class drivers licence
- You'll hold a White Card - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
- You'll be willing to participate in the afterhours on call roster and availability for site related operations over weekends, public holidays and other overtime work.
