Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two-year technical degree related to Industrial Maintenance with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in industrial maintenance or 5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, weekends, holidays and off shifts.
  • Experience with hydraulic systems, pneumatics, welding, pumps, drive systems, and conveyors.
  • Experience with industrial mechanical and electrical predictive and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proper communication skills between shifts and departments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Multi-craft experience (electrical and mechanical)
  • Steel making/steel products manufacturing experience
  • Qualified welding certification
  • Qualified millwright certification
  • Vibration analysis
  • Crane maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70E
  • Siemens S7 and TIA Portal experience
  • Siemens VFD experience
  • Knowledge of LOTOTO
