Job Purpose 

The Manager, Network & Security Operations is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and operational security of SOPC’s network infrastructure and security technologies. The role oversees network connectivity services, security enforcement platforms, endpoint security operations, and physical security systems to ensure reliable, secure, and resilient technology services across the organization.

The position manages network infrastructure, security operations technologies, endpoint management platforms, and physical security systems such as access control and CCTV, while coordinating closely with Cybersecurity, Digital Infrastructure, and Digital Solutions teams to ensure infrastructure services operate securely and efficiently in alignment with organizational standards.

Network Infrastructure Operations

• Lead and oversee the operation and maintenance of core and access network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance across all locations.
• Manage enterprise connectivity services including SD-WAN, DIA, VPN services, and wireless infrastructure.
• Monitor network capacity, performance, and availability to maintain stable and reliable connectivity services.
• Ensure proper implementation and maintenance of network segmentation, routing configurations, and connectivity controls

Security Operations Management

• Oversee the operational management of network security technologies including firewalls, secure access platforms, and perimeter protection systems.
• Manage and maintain Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) services to ensure secure user access to enterprise applications and systems.
• Ensure proper configuration and operational management of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) services, including secure remote connectivity and access controls.
• Maintain high availability and operational effectiveness of network security platforms across on-premises and cloud environments.

Security Tools Operations

• Manage operational activities for security platforms including EDR, NDR, NAC, IPS/IDS, and email security technologies.
• Oversee Microsoft Defender security operations and related endpoint protection capabilities.
• Ensure proper integration and log forwarding of security events to monitoring or SIEM platforms where applicable.
• Coordinate remediation activities for security alerts and vulnerabilities in collaboration with Cybersecurity teams.

Access Management & Security Controls

• Design, implement, and enforce access management controls across systems and platforms in line with approvals, policies, and segregation of duties.
• Coordinate with Cybersecurity and GRC teams to ensure infrastructure controls align with organizational security standards.

Endpoint & Workplace Operations

• Oversee endpoint management platforms including Intune, MDM, MAM and device compliance services.
• Ensure secure device enrollment, endpoint hardening, and enforcement of technical compliance controls across organizational devices.
• Support workplace technology services including printing services, meeting room systems, and collaboration technology platforms.

Physical Security Systems Operations

• Oversee operational management of Access Control and CCTV systems, ensuring reliable operation and system availability.
• Ensure proper monitoring and maintenance of video surveillance systems, recording infrastructure, and access control devices.
• Support integration of physical security technologies with network infrastructure, identity systems, and monitoring platforms.
• Coordinate with Cybersecurity, facilities teams, and external vendors to maintain secure and compliant operation of physical security systems

Incident Response & Technical Containment

• Lead technical containment and mitigation activities for network and security-related incidents.
• Coordinate with Cybersecurity teams during investigations and ensure appropriate remediation actions are implemented.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurring operational incidents.

Vendor & Service Provider Management

• Manage vendors and service providers supporting network and security infrastructure technologies.
• Monitor vendor performance against agreed service levels and contractual obligations
• Support procurement, renewal, and performance evaluation of infrastructure and security service providers.

Operational Governance & Continuous Improvement

• Establish and maintain operational procedures, standards, and documentation for network and security operations.
• Monitor operational KPIs, service levels, and system health metrics to ensure reliable service delivery.
• Support audits, compliance reviews, and internal assessments related to network and security infrastructure operations.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Coordinate with Digital Infrastructure teams to ensure integration and reliability of infrastructure platforms.
• Work closely with Cybersecurity teams to ensure operational security controls align with organizational policies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support reliable connectivity and secure technology services across the organization.
