Your Role:
Produces and purifies chemical compounds to meet the demands and requirements of MilliporeSigma customers.
In this role, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Execute complex chemical processes, including charging, monitoring reactions via DCS, and performing purifications (distillation, extraction)—while adhering strictly to MPRs, SOPs, and GDP protocols.
- Verifies material integrity and performs in-process analytical testing and data interpretation to ensure all products meet ISO, cGMP, and internal quality standards.
- Actively promotes an inclusive safety culture by identifying hazards, participating in investigations, maintaining PPE, and neutralizing hazardous byproducts or waste.
- Operates and maintains diverse equipment (vessels, dryers, robotics) and specializes in high-hazard packaging techniques, such as pyrophoric filling and ampoule handling.
- Identifies and resolves both routine and complex production malfunctions, initiating corrective actions and performing equipment troubleshooting with appropriate approvals.
- Drives continuous improvement by initiating 6S projects, suggesting revisions to SOPs/MPRs, and maintaining organized, efficient work areas.
- Utilizes SAP for material movements and billing while managing inventories of consumables and staging materials using manual handling equipment.
- Facilitates seamless shift handovers via oral and written updates, maintains personal training records, and collaborates on two-person tasks to meet department goals.
- 3rd Shift/Hours: Sunday-Thursday, 10:00pm-6:30am.

Physical Attributes:
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Sit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, or crouch for long periods of time.
- Use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of chemistry experience, including 1 year as Packaging Operator I or Manufacturing Operator I and 1+ years of chemical handling experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology or other Life Science discipline.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience with basic math skills, including using the metric system.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity.
- Ability to learn how to use manual and automated equipment.
RSREMD
Pay Range for this position: $21/hr - $38/hr
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
