SLB is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Manufacturing Planner to join our team in Mobile, AL. In this role, you will develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules to support manufacturing operations, ensuring on-time delivery while maximizing capacity, resource utilization, and operational efficiency. You will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Project teams to align production activities with customer requirements and business objectives.

 

 

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, has strong analytical and organizational skills, and can effectively coordinate activities across multiple stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to drive operational performance through effective planning, proactive risk management, and continuous improvement of production planning processes.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules using SAP and Primavera P6 to support manufacturing requirements, optimize capacity, and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Monitor production progress against plan, identify potential constraints or bottlenecks, and drive corrective actions to minimize schedule deviations.
  • Perform look-ahead planning to identify material, resource, or engineering documentation shortages and proactively escalate risks to relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate material and resource planning activities with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Project teams to align production plans with project milestones and customer commitments.
  • Manage planning-related system data, reports, KPIs, and production performance metrics, ensuring accuracy and timely communication to stakeholders.
  • Support in-process subcontractor activities, quality notifications, and engineering change management processes in accordance with established workflows.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within production planning and reporting processes while ensuring compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and ethical practices.
