SLB is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our manufacturing team as a Manufacturing Planner based in Nisku, Alberta. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and coordinating production schedules to ensure materials, resources, and manufacturing capacity are aligned with customer demand. You will work closely with Production, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Product Line teams to support efficient manufacturing operations and on-time delivery performance.

This role offers the opportunity to drive operational efficiency, improve planning processes, and play a key role in ensuring production goals are achieved while minimizing delays, shortages, and waste.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

 

  • Manage material requirements planning (MRP), production schedules, and work order execution to support manufacturing operations.
  • Maintain planning data, item masters, and scheduling parameters within ERP systems.
  • Analyze demand, inventory, and capacity requirements to ensure materials and resources are available to meet production needs.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Shipping & Receiving, and Production teams to prioritize work and resolve scheduling challenges.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to meet customer commitments and delivery targets.
  • Prepare and communicate backlog, shortage, and capacity reports while proactively identifying potential disruptions.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve planning accuracy, shorten lead times, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Track and report production planning metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing facility.
