This role will support marketing for VCLS and Neighborhood, the life sciences innovation programme by VCLS, which supports emerging biotech, medtech and digital health companies through mentorship, specialist networks and collaborative workspaces. The Role We are looking for a hands-on marketer to help plan, create and deliver content and campaigns across VCLS and Neighborhood. Working with scientific and business subject-matter experts, you will translate complex ideas into clear, credible and engaging communications for life sciences audiences. You will support activity across websites, email, social media, events and webinars while helping us establish a more consistent marketing cadence. Content development and copywriting will be central to the role. You may also bring experience in areas such as digital marketing, visual content, events, CRM or campaign reporting. We do not expect you to be an expert in every discipline. We are looking for someone with a strong foundation in one or more relevant areas and the ambition to develop as a well-rounded life sciences marketer. Key Responsibilities · Research, draft, edit and proofread content for articles, websites, campaigns, email, social media, presentations and events. · Interview scientific and business experts, translating complex material into accessible, audience-appropriate content. · Coordinate technical reviews and approvals to ensure that content is clear, accurate and credible. · Support the planning and delivery of integrated campaigns across VCLS and Ne · Help define campaign audiences, objectives, messages, content requirements, channels and measures of success. · Maintain the content and campaign calendar, coordinating briefs, contributors, reviews, approvals and publication dates. · Create and update website, email and social media content, applying good practice in accessibility, calls to action and basic SEO. · Repurpose technical materials, expert contributions and event outputs into content for different formats and channels. · Support the promotion of conferences, webinars, Neighborhood activities and programme applications. · Create or adapt routine visual and multimedia assets using established templates and appropriate tools. · Support audience segmentation and campaign activation through HubSpot or related platforms. · Monitor content and campaign performance and recommend practical improvements. · Apply VCLS and Neighborhood brand, messaging and editorial standards consistently. · Use digital and AI-enabled tools responsibly, maintaining factual accuracy, confidentiality and appropriate human review. About You You are an early-to-mid-career marketer who enjoys turning complex ideas into clear and useful communications. You combine creativity with organisation, write confidently and pay close attention to detail. You may have developed particular strength in content, digital marketing, visual communications or events and now want to broaden your experience. You will be comfortable asking questions, working with subject-matter experts and managing several projects and deadlines. You do not need to arrive with extensive knowledge of every VCLS capability, but you should be intellectually curious and interested in learning about scientific, regulatory and clinical subjects. Location This UK-based role may be performed remotely or on a hybrid basis, with access to our Cambridge office. Some travel to Cambridge and other locations will be required. Occasional international travel or event attendance outside standard working hours may also be necessary. This position may also be considered in Paris, France however native US or UK English is required.
