Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Material Support Specialist - 1st Shift to join our team in Beltsville, MD!
The core hours are 9 am - 5 pm, M-F. There is overtime opportunity available depending on business need.
The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:
The Material Support Specialist ensures the floor has the correct amount of work by building heijunka’s, kitting parts for different cells, and supporting cycle counting to improve inventory accuracy. This role is a key logistics position that combines physcial work, accuracy, and system use to keep the manufacturig process running smoothly for our team. You will gain experience in inventory and process improvement.

In this role, you will:
- Pull raw material from stock and releases material to the floor using MFG Pro and SCM planner information
- Navigate MRP system to create work order packets
- Print Drawing, inspection plans, and other needed documents for Work Orders
- Conduct cycle counts
- Support assembly for kitting, marking, and assembling
- Scrap non-conforming material in MFG Pro
- Work Closely with Production Planner daily to ensure the right work is going to the floor
- Communicate with our internal customers addressing issues associated with material
- Ensure safety and cleanliness of area through daily 5S+ activities.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in any field.
- his position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years working in manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with Microsoft and MRP systems
Skills:
- Strong communication skills to read, write, and speak with customers and teammates.
- Must be able to use the computer proficiently
- Position requires exposure to oil and heat
- Ability to stand, sit, move 8+ hours a day with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to lift up to 35lbs on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.
