POSITION INFORMATION
This position will be a key member of the Mechanical Engineering Team. As a member of this team, you will be shaping the future of Datalogic’s success in taking a product from an idea to the marketplace, determine the best manufacturing approach that will ensure operation without failure.
Mechanical Engineer is responsible for design and maintain tools, equipment follow system setup required for the company's manufacturing and fabrication activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new products.
- Develop testing processes, and perform testing and validation of new designs.
- Perform engineering calculations to support design work
- Create and review technical drawings, plans.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors.
- Maintain current tools, equipment in production.
- Involves in the selection of the most appropriate and cost-effective manufacturing engineering tools, machines, sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
- Supports production and purchasing in creating and maintaining appropriate manufacturing documentation and training.
- Provides work assistances to lower-level manufacturing engineers.
- Perform special projects or assignments as required.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering
Language: Fluent in English (both written and verbal communication)
Experience: 2+ year of experience in in mechanical engineering experience.
Work at a manufacturing environment, especially in electronic factory is a plus.
Other information & Specific skills:
- Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience using CAD software such as CreO, AutoCAD, or similar
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical document.
