This is a great opportunity for a experienced Mobile Plant Operators to join our team working on the Fortescue Decarbonisation project located at Eliwana. Civmec’s scope covers procurement, construction, installation, verification, and commissioning of three main facility groups:
1. Light Mobile Equipment (LME) Charger Facilities
2. Support Mobile Equipment (SME) Charger Facilities
3. Pit Power (PP) Facilities
These positions involve operating large loaders (WA500/966 class), excavators, rollers, articulated dump trucks, HR Vehicles and performing watercart duties as required. The commencement date for this role is 21/05/2026.
The Role
Reporting to the Leading Hand/Supervisor your key responsibilities are:
- Operate large loaders (WA500/966 class) and excavators safely and efficiently for earthworks, trenching and material handling
- Carry out roller operations
- Operate articulated dump trucks and HR vehicles, with occasional watercart duties for dust suppression and road maintenance
- Perform daily machine checks and maintain equipment in good condition
- Support general civil works as required and uphold site safety standards
- Follow quality control systems and techniques
- Housekeeping
- Perform other general duties as required
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Proven experience operating loaders (WA500/966 class), excavators, rollers, ADTs and/or HR vehicles
- Strong understanding of civil construction operations, earthworks, compaction and safe plant movement
- A reliable, safety‑focused work ethic with the ability to work effectively within a team
- A nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)
- Previous civil or mining construction experience
- Ability to complete and pass a pre‑employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
