Since 2011, Produce Pronto has partnered with businesses across New Zealand to deliver fresh, chilled, and frozen food nationwide. What began as office fruit delivery has grown, alongside parent company Big Chill, into a national supply and distribution operation servicing some of New Zealand’s largest convenience food retailers every day.

The Role

We’re looking for a National Manager to take full accountability for the performance of the Produce Pronto business, leading both operational execution and commercial outcomes nationwide.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer of Big Chill Distribution, this is a senior leadership role with real influence over how the business operates, performs, and grows. You will:

• Set strategy, drive growth and lead investment decisions
• Develop / coach key leaders across operations, supply chain and purchasing
• Own the financial performance of the business, including business development, cost control and profitability
• Use commercial insight to improve margin, utilisation, and productivity

What Success Looks Like

• Consistent delivery of financial targets, with improving margin and cost discipline
• Clear visibility and control of key drivers of profitability and cost-to-serve
• Ongoing team development with strong succession planning

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience leading a business or business unit with multi-site operations
• Ability to lead / coach senior leaders across operations, supply chain, purchasing, and finance
• Experience improving margins, utilisation, and cost-to-serve through operational innovation
• Strong financial skills with some ability to get hands on in accounting and financial management
• Business development experience, delivering growth through new products and services
• Background in transport, logistics, FMCG, warehousing, or similar sectors
