Heineken Beverages has an exciting opportunity available to a suitable candidate for potential placement in our Engineering Department. This position will be based at Springs.
- Purpose of the Position:
- To maintain all equipment to optimize availability of equipment and give assistance with the co-ordination of line activities to meet the production plan.
- Increase machine availability.
- Perform preventive maintenance as per prescribed OEM and internal CMMS schedules.
- Perform changeovers of equipment.
- Optimize control systems regarding processes and production lines
- Provide technical and specialist support
- Determine causes of failures (fault finding)
- Ensure machine spares inventory is up to date and stock levels optimal.
- Budget control of machine maintenance activities.
- Leadership skills to train and coach other team members in order to develop their capabilities on specified equipment operations
- Ability to interpret Mechanical & Electrical Engineering drawings.
- Be familiar with Machinery safety & good GMP practice.
- Ensure safety of self, product, workplace and colleagues while ensuring the control of the impact of his activities on the environment.
- Maintain Food safety awareness and its relevance in order to ensure strict compliance in the workplace.
- SAP engineering maintenance capabilities – i.e. work order/work arising, spares tracking etc.
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
- N6 equivalent with Trade Certificate - Millwright preferably
- Experience in a high speed, high-tech bottling operation will be advantageous
- Completed apprenticeship with recognized Institution i.e., was registered as an apprentice
- More than 5 years relevant practical experience
- Ability to work under pressure and display good attention to detail
- Proven ability in problem solving and knowledge of the various problem-solving methods
- Must be self-motivated, innovative and able to work without or limited supervision
- To reflect good leadership behaviour - towards colleagues, superior and company values
- Must be willing and able to work shifts and overtime when required
