Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Act as the regional champion for the Performance Materials portfolio, including heat shrink tubing, seals, EMI shielding, and related products.
  • Develop and execute regional growth strategies aligned with business objectives and market opportunities in India.
  • Analyze market trends, customer requirements, competitive activity, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with direct Automotive OEMs, Tier suppliers, EV customers, and distribution partners.
  • Identify and prioritize target applications, market segments, and customer projects to accelerate revenue growth.
  • Support channel strategy development and distributor engagement activities to expand market reach.
  • Partner with sales teams to identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities.
  • Serve as the product expert for customer discussions, technical reviews, and commercial opportunity development.
  • Support customers through concept, design, validation, and launch phases of new projects.
  • Work directly with engineering, sales, and FAE teams to ensure customer requirements are translated into product and application solutions.
  • Lead product positioning and value proposition discussions with customers and channel partners.
  • Provide guidance on product selection, application fit, competitive differentiation, and market requirements.
  • Manage the regional portfolio lifecycle, including growth initiatives, portfolio optimization, and product rationalization recommendations.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and recommend actions to improve growth, margin, and market penetration.
  • Provide regional demand forecasts and market inputs to support business planning and S&OP processes.
  • Assist in pricing analysis, special pricing requests, and commercial strategy development.
  • Collaborate closely with global product management teams to align regional priorities with global product strategies.
  • Provide regional customer and market insights to influence product roadmap decisions and future development priorities.
  • Work with operations, supply chain, engineering, quality, and marketing teams to ensure effective execution of customer and business objectives.
  • Support localization initiatives and regional product expansion opportunities where appropriate.
  • Contribute to business reviews, strategic planning activities, and growth initiatives within the region.

Desired Candidate

 

  • Strong commercial acumen with a solid understanding of product management, business strategy, and customer engagement.
  • 3-5 years of product-oriented experience or 2+ years of Product Management or Product Strategy experience
  • Experience supporting Automotive OEMs, Tier suppliers, industrial customers, or distribution channels preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field required.
  • Experience working in cross-functional and international business environments preferred.
  • Strong customer-facing and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to translate customer needs into business opportunities and product requirements.
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution focus.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel within India and occasionally internationally as required.
