Job Summary:
Coordinate the development of new packaging materials, ensuring they meet the quality, cost, and time specifications set by Marketing. Provide technical support to manufacturing for the improvement of existing products and processes, the resolution of packaging material quality issues, and innovation in packaging materials and technologies to generate competitive advantages through differentiation and cost savings.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Translate the aesthetic characteristics defined by Marketing (local projects) or Big Group (regional and global projects) into clear technical specifications.
  • Concept Evaluation: Ensure that the concept requested by Marketing or Big Group can be produced with the required quality, cost, and time.
  • Quality Plan: Define the master testing plan that guarantees new products meet the quality and functionality requirements defined by Colgate.
  • Supplier Selection: Support Purchasing in the selection, evaluation, and development of reliable suppliers; designate suppliers when the complexity of the material to be developed requires a specific supplier.
  • Change Management: Evaluate, cost, communicate, and document any requested changes that affect the development time or technical information for new or existing products.
  • Technical Information: Ensure the accuracy of product technical information generated during development or for new or existing products.
  • First Production Run: Oversee that the first industrial-scale production run of any new product meets specific quality requirements.
  • Technical Service: Provide technical support to all areas of the company for issues related to packaging materials.
  • Compliance with quality standards (Product conformity, product design and marketing, technology transfer, process validation and control, corrective and preventive actions, change control, consumer complaints, information storage and handling, labeling and finished product, intercompany procurement, supplier management, and laboratory testing).

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or Engineering degree in Industrial Design or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in packaging processes.
  • Advanced English.
