Job description

If you’re looking for a career that will help you stand out, join HSBC, and fulfil your potential - whether you want a career that could take you to the top, or an exciting new direction, we offer opportunities, support and rewards that will take you further.

We’re one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with a network that covers more than 50 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our UK Paid Media team in the role of Paid Media Account Manager.

This is an ATL-led paid media delivery role. You’ll manage the end-to-end delivery of above-the-line (ATL) campaigns (TV, OOH, radio, cinema, print) and ensure they are integrated effectively with digital channels. You’ll be the operational “glue” across teams—aligning media plans with brand and creative requirements, coordinating agency delivery, and keeping campaign governance, timelines and approvals running smoothly.

As an HSBC employee in the UK, you’ll have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.

In this role you’ll:

  • Lead day-to-day ATL and integrated campaign delivery with the appointed media agency (scopes, deliverables, timelines, status calls, issue resolution and escalation).
  • Support the development of ATL and integrated paid media strategies aligned to campaign objectives, target audiences and brand positioning.
  • Ensure media plans are implemented accurately and to spec (placements, formats, flighting, and targeting parameters where applicable).
  • Partner closely with Brand/Creative to translate creative requirements into channel-ready asset needs (formats, specs, mandatories, accessibility).
  • Maintain an asset matrix across channels, ensuring creative is aligned to the media plan (right message, right format, right timing).
  • Build and manage campaign timelines, dependencies, approval routes and audit-ready documentation; proactively manage risks and mitigations (RAID).
  • Own campaign financial operations: raise/manage POs, track spend, support invoicing, reconcile against scopes/rates, and ensure timely supplier payment.
  • Coordinate with the wider team to translate business goals into measurable media KPIs (reach, frequency, share of voice, brand lift, incremental reach).

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Proven experience delivering ATL-led paid media campaigns (in-house or agency), with strong ATL planning/buying knowledge across TV, OOH, radio, cinema and print (plus high-reach video where applicable).
  • Strong understanding of digital channels as part of an integrated plan (note: this role is not a display-only/programmatic specialist position).
  • Experience working in a large, complex organisation with multiple stakeholders and governance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of how creative assets and media plans fit together (formats, specs, lead times, trafficking requirements).
  • Confident agency management skills, with the ability to drive delivery through clear scopes, actions and accountability.
  • Excellent stakeholder coordination skills, acting as a central point of contact across Paid Media, Brand/Creative and internal teams.
  • Strong project management and attention to detail (timelines, asset matrices, approvals, RAID), couples with clear written and verbal communication skills, able to simplify complexity and produce concise weekly status updates.
  • Strong operational and financial discipline, including experience raising POs and managing invoices.

Opening up a world of opportunity.
