Parish Secretary

Villa Ridge, MO, US, 63089-1228

The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area.  Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary

St. John the Baptist Gildehaus is located in the rolling hills between Washington and Union, Missouri. The idyllic setting has been home to the parish church since 1839. The parish is known for a strong spirit of volunteerism, deep faith, and traditions. We are notable for our chicken sausage dinners, which draw nearly 4,000 diners, and our Corpus Christi procession tradition, which includes firing cannons to honor the Blessed Sacrament!

Job Responsibilities

St. John the Baptist Gildehaus is seeking a full-time parish secretary to handle essential parish record-keeping, communications, and organizational duties. We are moving towards a pastorate model of staffing, so this position will be based at St. John the Baptist, but will collaborate with and possibly be part of the staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Parish, with whom St. John's shares a pastor.

Job Requirements

The position requires a good eye for detail, the ability to work alone as well as in a team, reliability and consistency, basic computer skills, and experience of Catholic parish life.  If you have any questions, please contact Fr. Nick Winker, pastor, at 636-390-4996.

We look forward to your application.
