Job Purpose Summary

CMS Distribution is seeking an experienced Partner Development Manager to lead the growth and development of a portfolio of strategic channel partners across the UK.

 

This is a high-impact, customer-facing role focused on developing long-term partnerships, identifying new growth opportunities and increasing market share across the CMS vendor portfolio. Working with VARs, MSPs, GSIs and MSSPs, you'll engage with stakeholders from management level through to Director and C-Suite, helping partners unlock new commercial opportunities and accelerate growth.

 

This role is ideally suited to someone who thrives on building relationships, creating commercial strategies and spending time with customers. While aligned to our London office, the position is predominantly field-based and will involve regular travel throughout the UK.

Role Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing strategic growth plans across a portfolio of channel partners.
  • Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, including Director and C-Suite contacts.
  • Identifying opportunities to increase revenue, profitability and market share.
  • Introducing new vendors, technologies and solutions into partner organisations.
  • Leading business reviews, performance discussions and growth planning sessions.
  • Collaborating with internal Sales, Vendor, Product and Finance teams to deliver exceptional partner support.
  • Providing market insight, commercial recommendations and strategic direction to partners.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor, helping partners maximise opportunities across the CMS portfolio.

Skills & Personal Attributes

We're interested in commercially driven individuals who combine strong relationship-building skills with a proven ability to deliver business growth.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience in Partner Development, Channel Account Management, Business Development or a similar role within the UK IT channel.
  • A successful track record of developing and growing strategic partner relationships.
  • Experience working with VARs, MSPs, GSIs and/or MSSPs.
  • The ability to create and execute business plans that deliver measurable commercial results.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of growth strategies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Confidence engaging, influencing and negotiating at senior leadership and C-Suite level.
  • A willingness to travel regularly across the UK and a full UK driving licence.

  • Launching new vendors, technologies or service offerings within channel organisations.
  • Tender management and strategic partner positioning.
  • Running partner enablement, growth or development programmes.
