Sagicor Employee Benefits Administrators Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Pension Services team in the capacity of:

 

 

 

Pension Administrator- Retirement Scheme

 

 

Administration of the Sagicor Lifestyle Approved Retirement Scheme and other plans within the Retirement Scheme Unit.

 

Satisfy all servicing needs of corporate and individual clients.

 

Location: Kingston

 

As a Pension Administrator- Retirement Scheme, you will:

 

  • Prepare all Annual Reports required by Sagicor Lifestyle Approved Retirement Scheme’s (ARS) Employer Groups as stipulated in their contracts.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation and solvency assessment for the Sagicor Lifestyle Approved Retirement Scheme.
  • Prepare for filing with the FSC a list of the persons that sell or otherwise distribute the Scheme’s contract under the Scheme’s Master Trust Deed.
  • Prepare and dispatch Annual ARS Member Statements.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation and reports for assigned Group Investment Term (GIT) Plans and ensure accrued interest is booked by Finance.
  • Check and dispatch Benefit Statement on Change of Status to clients.
  • Check and authorize payments upon receipt of completed benefit statements.
  • Process interfund-fund transfers and change in new money investment allocation requests received either via My Sagicor or on Investment Mix Change Form.
  • Process Member Portfolio Change on a monthly basis for members with the Default Investment Allocation.
  • Prepare data for the Pensions Actuary to undertake valuations.
  • Ensure that transfers are updated to the members’ account promptly.
  • Reconcile transfers from EBA administered Approved Superannuation Funds against receipts into the Scheme and provide report to the ARS Manager monthly.
  • Arrange and conduct meetings with companies within the Approved Retirement Scheme and conduct member communication sessions at least once annually.
  • Ensure the timely posting of deposits to clients account.
  • Collect employer contracts from Relationship Managers/Agents and circulate to Trustees for sign off.
  • Dispatch copy of duly executed contract and welcome letter to the respective employers.
  • Enrol members to the Scheme either individually or via the electronic demographic upload file.
  • Update demographic and beneficiary information as required.
  • Process monthly administrative fees and confirmation of units for the Approved Retirement Scheme
  • Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

 

What do you need?

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounts, Economics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science or an equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Experience as a Pension Administrator would be an asset.
  • Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to understand and utilize pension specific software.
  • Sound knowledge of the Pensions Act and Attendant Regulations and applicable sections of the Income Tax Act.
