Personal Lines Underwriter: 8-month contract role

 

Here is what a typical day looks like

  • Gather and assess risk information to determine eligibility on habitational insurance products including but not limited to, home, tenant, mobile home, rentals
  • Assist in development of new programs and maintain current programs
  • Communicate with brokers regarding new policy issuance, changes, renewals and cancellations
  • Advise, interpret, and validate coverage based on policy terms
  • Issue policy changes, renewals, and cancellations
  • Support internal departments and branches with policy interpretation and technical advice

 

The value you bring

  • General Insurance Level 2 License, CIP, or CAIB preferred
  • General Insurance Level 1 License required
  • Underwriting experience an asset
  • Professional communication etiquette, both written and verbal
  • Adept in retrieving customer data efficiently
  • Involvement in industry related associations and your community

 

 Role Details

  • Full-time contract role for a term of 8 months
  • Hours: 37.5 hours/week: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
  • Location: Hybrid if located in Victoria, BC. Remote (with correct licensing) if located outside of Victoria BC
  • Salary range: $57,000 - $70,000
  • Requisition: 82788
