Apply NowAt Xtremax, we're looking for a Platform Operations Engineer (Microsoft Azure) to help build, operate, and secure cloud platforms that power mission-critical digital services within Singapore's public sector. You'll be working on enterprise-scale infrastructure hosted on Singapore's Government on Commercial Cloud (GCC) as part of the Singapore Government Technology Stack (SGTS). This is an opportunity to work with modern Azure technologies, Infrastructure as Code, DevSecOps practices, and cloud security while supporting highly available and secure digital platforms. As part of a collaborative engineering team, you'll design and automate cloud infrastructure, improve platform reliability, strengthen security controls, and support application teams throughout the entire infrastructure lifecycle. Key Responsibilities• Design, provision, and manage Microsoft Azure infrastructure including compute, networking, storage, identity, and platform services. • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates to deliver repeatable and scalable cloud deployments. • Support application onboarding, cloud migrations, and environment provisioning across development, testing, staging, and production environments. • Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and platform deployments using modern DevSecOps practices. • Administer Windows Server platforms including Active Directory integration, patch management, certificate services, backups, monitoring, and system health. • Monitor platform performance, availability, and capacity while proactively resolving infrastructure issues and incidents. • Implement Azure security best practices including identity management, network segmentation, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, Key Vault, and Microsoft Sentinel. • Support disaster recovery, backup validation, business continuity exercises, and operational readiness. • Produce and maintain architecture documentation, operational runbooks, and technical knowledge articles. • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver secure, resilient, and highly available cloud platforms.
