Key Accountabilities and Duties: Portfolio Data Integrity & Signal Clarity • Maintain the integrated portfolio dashboard across all major initiatives. • Ensure milestone confidence definitions are applied consistently across verticals. • Reconcile data across tools (Jira, planning systems, BI platforms). • Track schedule variance and delivery trend patterns. • Reduce manual correction and narrative interpretation in reporting cycles.
Capacity & Estimation Analytics • Consolidate team-level capacity into a portfolio-level capacity view. • Track utilisation, saturation thresholds and structural overload indicators. • Analyse estimation accuracy and identify recurring bias patterns. • Support scenario modelling and trade-off discussions with structured data inputs. • Help embed separation between sizing, estimation and capacity planning through clear reporting.
Risk, Dependency & RAID Consolidation • Consolidate portfolio-level RAID themes across delivery verticals. • Track risk ageing and mitigation follow-through. • Highlight recurring cross-team dependency friction. • Surface systemic risk patterns rather than isolated incidents.
Tooling & Reporting Discipline • Support implementation and ongoing configuration of the portfolio toolset. • Ensure status definitions and reporting standards are applied consistently. • Improve automation and reduce manual reporting overhead. • Support structured Front Door tracking and demand visibility.
Continuous Insight & Portfolio Improvement • Identify trends in delivery predictability across teams. • Highlight performance patterns that require attention. • Provide structured data insight to support portfolio governance evolution. • Shift conversations from anecdotal reporting to evidence-based insight.
What Good Looks Like in the First 90 Days Within the first 90 days: • Portfolio data across major initiatives is reconciled and trusted. • Key delivery metrics are consistently available and visible across teams. • Capacity data is consolidated and accurately reflects current utilisation. • The portfolio toolset is configured, stable and actively used. • Reporting cycles require minimal manual correction or rework. • Heads of Delivery have timely, accurate analysis to support day-to-day decisions.
The objective in the first 90 days is not to redesign governance. It is to strengthen signal integrity, improve data consistency and support capacity-backed planning.
