About the Role:
The States of Guernsey are looking for a Portfolio Officer to join the team at Portfolio Delivery Team.
The States Portfolio Delivery Team has been established to provide a unified and consistent approach across the States to delivering programmes and projects and to safeguard financial investment. The Team manage the oversight and delivery of the performance of the Portfolio, working with the Projects to ensure compliance and reporting on risks, benefits, status, change control, governance and adherence to the Project Delivery Framework & Manual and the Annual Portfolio Delivery Plan. The Portfolio Officer (PO) role is an important role in the small Portfolio Delivery Team working to improve governance and delivery of major, multi-million pound transformation and infrastructure programmes, working across the States of Guernsey. It is a multi-faceted role, covering oversight of project delivery in terms of governance, setting standards, stakeholder engagement and communication as well as reporting and the completion of administrative tasks as part of the Portfolio Delivery Team. Some of the key aspects of this role also involve analysis, co-ordination and monitoring of Portfolio Data and maintenance of data sites to ensure the integrity of all data, all of which are vital to the successful delivery of the Portfolio. This role has a high level of technical competence with a specialist focus in complex data and systems administration, with responsibility for the management of the design and maintenance of bespoke SharePoint databases, Power BI reports and complex datasets for the management and monitoring of the Portfolio, Programme and Project delivery.
