Job Title: Postdoctoral Associate - Cardiac Electrophysiology

Salary Range: $63,480
FLSA Status: Exempt
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Summary
The lab is seeking a highly motivated researcher to join the Li Laboratory in the Section of Cardiovascular Research, Department of Medicine. The lab investigates novel molecular mechanisms underlying atrial fibrillation and myopathy, cardiac conduction diseases, and inflammation-related cardiac diseases.
The lab is utilizing a multidisciplinary approach, including biochemistry, flow cytometry, single-cell transcriptomics, optical mapping, molecular cloning, and advanced phenotyping in transgenic mouse models. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment at the forefront of cardiovascular research.

Job Duties
- Organizes and implements complex research plans.
- Develops new methods and techniques.
- Conducts experiments, data collection, and analysis.
- Interprets data and writes detailed scientific reports.
- Mentors graduate and undergraduate students.
- Presents research findings regularly to peers and at national and international meetings.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
- No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD or MD/PhD degree in electrophysiology, cardiac arrhythmias, or any related field.
- Experience in patch clamping, optical mapping, or cardiac phenotyping.
- Research experience in cardiovascular or immunological sciences.
