Job Summary
Ste. Genevieve du Bois School is seeking a part‑time Preschool (Pre‑K) Aide to support classroom teachers and provide a safe, nurturing, faith‑centered environment for young children. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with preschool‑age students and supporting Catholic education.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Pre‑K teacher during instructional and activity times
- Supervise children during classroom activities, transitions, and play
- Help prepare classroom materials and maintain an organized environment
- Support social, emotional, and developmental needs of students
- Model positive behavior and Catholic values
- Follow school policies, safety procedures, and Archdiocesan guidelines
Schedule
- Part‑time
- School‑day hours (exact days/times set by the school)
- Follows the academic school calendar
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with young children preferred
- Patience, flexibility, and a caring demeanor
- Commitment to Catholic values and mission
- Ability to pass background checks and Safe Environment requirements of the Archdiocese of St. Louis
