Primary School English Teacher

We are looking for a Primary School English Teacher for an international school based in Guangzhou. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in  August, 2025.

About the school Located in Baiyun District of Guangzhou, this international school has four sections: early years, primary school, middle school and high school. It provides both Cambridge International Curriculum and British National Curriculum programs. The school campus is large, well-equipped with classrooms, a Music and Dance area, a Library and Information Centre, an Art room, laboratories, a football pitch and other recreational areas.

About the role As the primary school teacher, you will fulfill the role of homeroom teacher and be entrusted with the following responsibilities: • You will be tasked with teaching the National Curriculum, ensuring meticulous planning, delivery, and evaluation of lessons in accordance with the National Curriculum guidelines • Collaborate closely with teaching assistants to both develop and enhance the school's unique curriculum • Implement the Read Write Inc program for lower primary students, and organize literacy classes based on students' abilities • Benefit from the support of specialist co-teachers in Art and Design, Physical Education, Music, and Chinese. This arrangement allows homeroom teachers to enjoy dedicated Planning, Preparation, and Assessment (PPA) time • Offer clear, constructive feedback to students, as well as their parents and caregivers, fostering an environment of open communication and continuous improvement
