Your Role: 

The Technical and Scientific Solution (TSS) group is part of our Life Science Business and provides high quality scientific and technical support to customers developing or manufacturing biopharmaceuticals.  This scientist/engineer (Downstream MSAT) role will be part of a TSS team mainly covering Singapore, SEA & Taiwan. This is a rewarding role for an experienced and confident scientist/engineer with an interest in commercial pharma process development and manufacturing.

 

What You Do:

  • Deliver downstream process development support at customer sites, including sizing and screening studies, optimization, and scale-up recommendations for sterile filtration, TFF, virus filtration, and chromatography resins.
  • Provide pilot- to large-scale downstream technology implementation support, ensuring adoption of the operational best practices within customer manufacturing facilities.
  • Offer technical consultation and troubleshooting support across downstream purification solutions and biomanufacturing processes to customers.
  • Deliver on-site support for large-scale downstream operations, including system-level and engineering consultation.
  • Prepare and present clear, timely technical reports and summaries of study outcomes and project deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with the commercial team to prioritize projects and plan and execute support activities aligned with business strategy.
  • Engage directly with customers in technical discussions as required to support project execution and decision-making.
  • Support and deliver customer training on downstream processes and industry best practices according to training programs standard.
  • Contribute as an active team member to technical publications and presentations at industry conferences.
  • Support Technical Operations activities, including management of trial and demonstration equipment and inventory, as needed.

 

Who You Are:

  • Minimum bachelor’s in chemical engineering/Bioscience with 3-5 years of relevant biopharma industrial experience and expertise in separation and purification
  • Strong knowledge with downstream process development work and manufacturing experience
  • Some knowledge with tech transfer, process validation and regulatory requirements in biomanufacturing industry.
  • Confidence delivering oral presentations and strong leading discussion skill
  • Strong team player with highly motivated, self-direct and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of time to customers within Singapore and 20% SEA & Taiwan (with occasional 10% global travel expected).
