Process Engineer at SPX FLOW, an ITT Company 

Location: Brno, Czech Republic

SPX FLOW is seeking a talented and motivated Process Engineer to join our global engineering team supporting projects and bid proposals across the Dairy, Food, Beverage, Pharmaceutical, and Hygienic Process industries.

This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative process systems, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the successful delivery of international engineering projects.

About the Role

As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering process engineering designs that meet customer, technical, quality, and project requirements.

You will support projects throughout the full lifecycle — from proposal and design through installation and commissioning — while working closely with Engineering, Automation, Supply Chain, Project Management, and Site teams.

Depending on project scope and experience, you may also take on responsibilities as a Lead Engineer, leading multidisciplinary engineering activities and coordinating project design execution.

Key Responsibilities

Process Engineering & Design

  • Develop process engineering solutions and system designs

  • Prepare:

    • Process Flowsheets
    • P&IDs
    • Equipment Specifications & Equipment Lists
    • Functional Design Specifications (FDS)
    • Process Descriptions & Operating Instructions
    • Utility Requirements & KPI Definitions
  • Perform engineering calculations including:

    • Pipe sizing
    • Pump sizing
    • Thermal calculations
  • Ensure designs comply with customer specifications, industry regulations, and SPX FLOW standards

  • Support equipment selection and process optimization activities

Project & Technical Support

  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and project meetings
  • Support Supply Chain, Mechanical Design, Automation, and Installation & Commissioning teams
  • Assist with site surveys, feasibility studies, and proposal support activities
  • Contribute to project documentation and technical files
  • Provide technical guidance during execution and commissioning phases

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across global locations
  • Support engineering planning, scheduling, and resource coordination
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead engineering discussions and reviews when acting as Lead Engineer

What We’re Looking For

✔ Degree in Process, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
✔ Experience in Dairy, Food, Beverage, Pharmaceutical, or Hygienic Process industries
✔ Understanding of hygienic process design principles and CIP systems
✔ Experience creating P&IDs, process documentation, and engineering calculations
✔ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
✔ Ability to work independently and within cross-functional global teams
✔ Excellent written and spoken English communication skills

Annual salary: 499,100  – 648,860  CZK, depending on experience and qualifications

 

Preferred Skills

  • AutoCAD experience
  • SAP knowledge
  • Experience leading technical or engineering teams
  • Understanding of international engineering regulations and standards
