About the Role
This a 12-month Maternity Leave Contract to promote operational efficiency and optimize processes, it is important to collaborate both nationally and internationally to drive innovation and improve customer satisfaction. By encouraging best practices in process design and enhancing business performance, organizations can position themselves for sustained success.
About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and driven Process Improvement Engineer for a 12 Month Contract, aiming to capitalise on their process improvement experience and develop their leadership capability, to join our Customer Support division. Reporting to the General manager, Strategy and Compliance, these roles will play a pivotal role in driving efficiency, standardisation, and innovation across our mining support operations in Australia.
Working closely with internal divisions and external customers, you will identify workflow inefficiencies, design and implement improvement initiatives, and champion a culture of continuous improvement across the business. You will also lead cross-functional teams and drive digital integration and reporting to enhance operational efficiency and business performance.
Skills and Duties:
In this highly influential role with an immediate start, you will:

Lead and manage small teams through process analysis and optimisation

Identify and lead process improvement projects to improve efficiency, reduce waste and optimise cost

Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions that support efficiency, quality and safety

Analyse performance data and produce reports, dashboards, and insights to guide decision-making

Lead, coach and mentor teams and engage with stakeholders to optimise customer satisfaction
Competencies
Essential Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, Process, or equivalent)
- Proven experience in process improvement, workflow redesign, and cost reduction initiatives
- Stakeholder engagement, team leadership, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Commercial acumen, strong analytical skills and experience with performance data reporting and visualisation tools
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Desirable Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in mining, manufacturing, logistics, or technology
- Demonstrated experience working for large, complex multinational organisations
- Demonstrated experience working within a continuous improvement framework
- Lean or Six Sigma qualifications
Applicants successful in progressing past interview stage will be required to undergo a Pre-employment process including National Police Clearance and Medical Screening process which includes drug and alcohol testing.
