Hybrid job in Mexico City

The Procurement Associate acts as a strategic business partner, driving value and competitive advantage across the organization. This role moves beyond transactional purchasing by relying on three core pillars: leveraging Data Analytics to uncover actionable insights, applying Strategic Thinking to develop long-term sourcing plans, and utilizing advanced Negotiation Skills to secure optimal commercial outcomes. The ideal candidate will transform raw data and market intelligence into sustainable business strategies, building a resilient, high-performing vendor ecosystem that aligns with KTSA’s long-term objectives.

Responsabilities

  • Strategic Sourcing & Category Management: Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for key indirect categories (including Facilities, Travel, and General Services), developing forward-thinking strategies that deliver financial savings, improve supplier performance, and align with overarching business goals.

  • Advanced Analytics & Reporting: Translate complex procurement data into actionable dashboards or reports. Monitor spend compliance, identify savings leakages, and present quantitative findings to leadership to influence buying behaviors.

  • Strategic Vendor & Contract Negotiation: Oversee the full contract lifecycle with a heavy emphasis on negotiation strategy. Structure optimal commercial terms, service level agreements (SLAs), and pricing models.

  • Innovative Process Improvement: Challenge conventional approaches by using strategic insights to streamline procurement processes, from purchase order creation to vendor payment, enhancing efficiency and operational control.

  • Business Partnership & Influence: Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders. Guide them through complex procurement landscapes, using your analytical and negotiation expertise to influence their decisions and manage demand effectively.

Core Competencies & Strategic Priorities:

  • Strategic Thinking: Proactively analyze market trends, industry shifts, and internal business requirements to develop multi-year category strategies. You will look beyond immediate cost-savings to identify opportunities for long-term value creation, risk mitigation, and continuous innovation within the supply chain.
  • Data Analytics: Harness complex spend data, supplier performance metrics, and market intelligence to drive informed decision-making. You will be expected to extract, analyze, and translate raw data into compelling, data-backed business cases that guide executive stakeholders and shape procurement strategies.
  • Negotiation Skills: Lead complex, high-stakes negotiations with key suppliers and vendors. You will leverage your data-driven insights to construct persuasive commercial arguments, balance short-term business needs with long-term strategic goals, and secure contractual agreements that maximize financial value and minimize risk.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, category management, and executing high-value procurement initiatives.

  • Data Analytics Proficiency: Strong quantitative skills with proven experience using data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, procurement dashboards) to evaluate spend data, perform total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis, and build business cases.

  • Advanced Negotiation Expertise: A consistent track record of successfully negotiating contracts, pricing structures, and commercial terms in a corporate environment.

  • Strategic Mindset: Excellent critical thinking skills with the proven ability to translate market intelligence into long-term strategic plans.

  • Demonstrated expertise in indirect procurement categories (Facilities, Travel, General Services, etc.)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to act as an effective change agent and influence cross-functional teams.

  • English fluency and a full-time commitment are required.
