The Role

Dyno Nobel Asia Pacific’s Procurement Team is seeking a Procurement Specialist – Transport and Logistics who will play a critical role in delivering commercial value through effective category management, strategic sourcing, robust contract management, and proactive supplier relationship management.

This role is accountable for analysing spend, developing category strategies, executing competitive sourcing events, negotiating optimal commercial outcomes, and ensuring supplier performance aligns with organisational objectives.

Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners, the Procurement Specialist drives sustainable cost savings, mitigates risk, and supports the continuous improvement of procurement processes and outcomes.

  • Lead procurement activities for land transport, including bulk, dangerous goods and specialised transport
  • Support procurement of sea and air freight services as required
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including market engagement, RFX, evaluation and negotiation
  • Establish and manage transport contracts, performance monitoring and renewals
  • Build strong supplier relationships to deliver safe, compliant and reliable services
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to provide clear commercial advice and recommendations

What you’ll bring

  • You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture
  • Demonstrated experience in freight, logistics or transport procurement
  • Proven experience managing RFP and tender processes end to end
  • Strong commercial and analytical capability with negotiation experience
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline are highly desirable
