About the Opportunity

This Product Manager role sits at the heart of the Gearbox business. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you’ll own the product roadmap and act as the connective tissue between support, sales, marketing, and development.

 

This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role where your ability to translate customer feedback, business priorities, and technical capability into clear, actionable plans will directly shape the future of the product. The Opportunity

Your focus will be on turning insight into execution. You’ll balance strategic thinking with practical delivery, ensuring the right features are built at the right time for both customers and the business.

Key Responsibilities

 

·         Own and maintain the Gearbox product roadmap, balancing customer needs, commercial priorities, and technical feasibility.

·         Lead product intake and prioritisation through weekly internal suggestion forums and monthly priority reviews with the CEO.

·         Translate approved priorities into clear product briefs and actionable GitHub issues for the development team.

·         Act as the central point of alignment between support, sales, marketing, and development, ensuring shared understanding of what’s being built and why.

·         Work closely with the support team to identify customer pain points and convert insights into product enhancements.

·         Partner with sales and marketing on feature positioning, launches, and customer‑facing communications.

·         Serve as the primary liaison for the Australian‑based development team, providing clarification and decision support throughout development.

·         Monitor development progress and coordinate QA activities to ensure features meet requirements and are ready for release.

·         Review delivered features with a focus on usability, UI/UX quality, and overall customer experience.

·         Take an end‑to‑end view of the customer journey and identify opportunities to improve product and service interactions.

·         Prepare and publish release notes to communicate product changes internally and externally.

 

About You

We are looking for a practical, commercially minded Product Manager who is comfortable owning decisions, providing clarity in ambiguity, and operating in a growing, fast‑moving SaaS environment.

 

Experience & Skills

 

Must Have’s

·         Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Product Manager role.

·         Proven experience translating customer and stakeholder input into a structured roadmap.

·         Experience working closely with software development teams in agile or sprint‑based environments.

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills across technical and non‑technical audiences.

 

Desirable

·         Background in fleet, transport, maintenance, compliance, or a related industry.

·         Experience modernising legacy software or leading an interface refresh.

·         Exposure to multi‑region SaaS products.

·         Familiarity with GitHub or similar issue‑tracking tools.

·         Second language capability (French, Spanish, or Arabic).
