Production Planner    

Do you want to own the critical link between customer demand and daily plant operations? In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing the daily production schedules to ensure alignment with Customer Service and Operational requirements. You will maintain essential vendor relations, manage the supply of raw and packaging materials, and utilize your analytical skills to balance production needs with inventory and cost objectives. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Supply Chain to drive timely execution and support plant initiatives

Responsibilities:

  • Developing weekly/daily/monthly production schedules from the Master Schedule, while reviewing demand from SAP/APO to meet customer demands, logistics, and capacity constraints.
  • Managing and coordinating manufacturing needs to ensure the plant adheres to production schedules while minimizing labor costs and meeting cycle-time inventory (CTI) goals.
  • Managing the inventory of finished goods, and ordering raw and packaging materials to support production requirements, service needs, and working capital objectives.
  • Ensuring data integrity within SAP/APO, including managing demand, inventory levels, Bills of Material (BOMs), and material masters.
  • Maintaining open lines of communication with key vendors and sharing relevant business changes to continue developing the partnership.
  • Conducting/facilitating weekly scheduling and monthly capacity meetings, and providing timely reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) such as schedule adherence, case fill, and inventory returns.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
  • A minimum of 2 years planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Working knowledge of logistics and manufacturing systems
  • ERP Systems experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience applying analytical skills.
  • APO and SAP R3 system experience or any other similar ERP
  • experience
  • Participation on Vendor Continuous Improvement Teams.
  • Experience in any other logistics field

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $86,000.00 - $135,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
