The Opportunity – Help build places people love to live

With a strong pipeline of masterplanned communities across Greater Melbourne, Stockland is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our VIC Civil & Infrastructure (C&I) Project Management team, delivering high‑quality civil outcomes across land development projects in Stockland’s South East Region.

This is a full‑time, permanent role offering a mix of on‑site, office, and home‑based work, ideal for a capable Project Manager who can step in and start delivering from day one.

We’re Looking For a…

Delivery‑focused Project Manager with strong, practical experience in civil and infrastructure construction, subdivision, and land development, gained within a contractor, consultancy, superintendent or client‑side environment and who enjoys working in a collaborative, supportive and open team environment

What You’ll Do

As part of Stockland’s highly regarded VIC Civil & Infrastructure Project Management team, you will provide specialist civil project management expertise across the full project lifecycle, partnering closely with Development Managers and delivery teams.

You will:

  • Lead civil projects from inception through to completion, ensuring safe, high‑quality delivery on time and within budget

  • Prepare and execute delivery strategies for multi‑staged masterplanned communities

  • Drive the procurement and delivery of civil and landscape construction packages

  • Actively manage cost plans, programs, risks, and reporting across multiple construction fronts

  • Build strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and approval authorities to achieve commercial and program outcomes

  • Provide technical support and delivery input to development teams

  • Share best‑practice project management approaches and contribute to continuous improvement across the portfolio

This role plays a critical part in bringing Stockland’s communities to life shaping residential neighbourhoods that incorporate civil infrastructure, public realm, and landscape outcomes.

About You

You’re a confident, hands‑on Project Manager who enjoys being close to delivery and thrives in complex, fast‑paced construction environments. You’re ready to take accountability, make decisions, and drive outcomes from day one.  You thrive in a team environment where honesty, collaboration and respect are central. You enjoy solving technical challenges, learning from experienced project leaders and contributing to the creation of great places for communities to grow. You’re seeking a role with hands‑on involvement, career development and real impact.

Experience & Skills That Count

  • Strong and proven Project Management experience in civil and infrastructure construction, land subdivision, or land development

  • Experience gained with a civil contractor or consultancy, ideally delivering subdivisions, wetlands, waterways or major civil infrastructure

  • Background in contracting, consulting, superintendent, or client‑side delivery (strong preference for real, on‑site experience)

  • Strong technical capability and understanding of civil construction methods, engineering principles or project management practices and strong understanding of construction contracts and contract administration

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi‑stage projects, cost plans, programs, and risk

  • Experience working with contractors, consultants and approval authorities.

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or similar, with 5+ years’ experience

The Right Mindset

  • Practical, delivery‑driven, and ready to contribute immediately

  • Proactive, accountable, and comfortable working autonomously

  • Collaborative team member who is a great communicator and builds trust with stakeholders on site and in the office

  • Comfortable in a fast‑paced environment with a practical, solution‑focused approach

  • Proactive, curious and motivated with strong technical and stakeholder skills.

The Stockland Proposition

We’re a community of supportive, empowered team that works as one to create better places and experiences for everyone, including ourselves. Our diverse portfolio creates meaningful opportunities for learning, growth, and career progression.

We’re equally committed to fostering an inclusive, collaborative culture that reflects the communities we create.
