Job Summary
Responsible for driving pursuit teams in the management (preparation, assembly, review, and submittal) of responses to Request for Proposals (RFP). Assigned proposals may range from small services to mega EPC project scope and generally have medium to very high-risk profiles, including JV and consortium arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for driving pursuit teams in the management (preparation, assembly, review, and submittal) of responses to Request for Proposals (RFP) in accordance with governance.
- Assigned proposals may range from small services to mega EPC project scope and generally have medium to very high-risk profiles, including JV and consortium arrangements.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, and governance requirements throughout the bid lifecycle.
- Participate in monthly APAC Regional Leadership Meetings. Support leadership alignment on risk posture, deal strategy, and bid/no-bid decisions.
- Typically, this pursuit manager leads and mentors a team of pursuit managers, strategists, specialists, and coordinators for a primary solution, or a primary client with multiple solutions, which they focus onto achieve results. Act as the senior escalation point for proposal-related issues in the region.
- The daily responsibilities are more focused on ensuring consistent execution by the solution pursuit managers in compliance with governance and leadership expectations. This professional interfaces directly with the sales manager, solution leader, client segment director, the project director, and the project manager, as equals, to develop the proposal execution strategy / schedule, assemble proposal response team, and develop the project execution plan and value proposition / win strategies.
- Ensure conceptual design and business enablement functional teams(estimating, project controls, construction, procurement, subcontracts, commercial, LIFTT) are held accountable to provide deliverables in accordance with proposal development schedule.
- Confirm completion of all required bid reviews and approvals, including Internal Reviews and Board Reviews aligned with project categorization, prior to submission.
- Conduct final reviews of technical and commercial proposals, including risk position, contingency, and pricing calculation sheets, ensuring all reviewer comments are fully addressed.
- Monitors and manages pursuit team expenditures to align with approved budgets.
- Participate in cost review and influences team to provide responses with competitive cost and value. Facilitate and lead risk determination / mitigation and leadership approval discussions. Supports negotiation and closure of deals.
- Facilitate discussion and actions to transition proposal basis information to the project execution team upon contract signature.
- Drives and measures pursuit team successes in direct collaboration with Pursuit Director and Sector / Solution leadership.
- Typically, manages and supervises the day to day, career development and progression of a team of solution pursuit managers.
- Manages and enforces the processes, best practices, and tools of the sales and pursuit teams to drive results.
- Supports development of sector / solution NB capture strategies and budgets.
- Ensures teams have appropriate quantity of pursuit managers and skillsets to support sector / solution NB strategies and budgets. Understands and monitors performance KPI's of business markets.
- Foster a culture of quality, accountability, teamwork, and psychological safety.
- Uses KPI's and knowledge of strategy to influence and drive strategy -aligned decision making for prioritization and selection of clients and projects to be pursued by the sector /solution.#LI-RK1
Management Responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical project execution field.
- 15+ years of experience in EPC, PMC And Engineering Service Proposal in Power Generation, Oil&Gas or Energy Infrastructure
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as supervisor or manager
- Project management / supervision experience
- Fully comfortable with Microsoft office suite and especially Microsoft excel, exposure to other management tools would be a plus.
- Good communication in English both speaking and writing
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum - Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience. 10+ years of engineering, project execution or technical pursuit management experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
