Phu Bia Mining Limited is a Lao-registered company, 90 per cent owned by PanAust, an Australian-headquartered copper and gold mining company, with the Government of Laos owning the remaining 10 per cent. Phu Bia Mining owns and operates two award winning operations – Phu Kham Copper-Gold and Ban Houayxai Gold-Silver, both located in Xaisomboun Province, 120km north of Vientiane.

Our modern mine camps provide great Lao, Asian and Western food, sport and recreational facilities and housekeeping services. Site-based employees work a roster of 20 days on, 8 days off; 9 days on, 5 days off; or 14 days on, 7 days off for shift work, while Vientiane – based employees work 5 days per week with 2 days off.
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, your key objective is to ensure the procurement and expedited activities for all works associated with the Project & Engineering Department to ensure the timely delivery of issue-free or supplier-furnished materials and equipment to meet contractual and project schedule requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining integrity of procurement data in accordance with company policies & procedures.
- Providing an expediting service to both internal & external stakeholders
- Maintaining the SAP data regarding shipping and purchase order details
- Maintain Procurement and Expediting Status Reports on a daily or as need basis
- Liaising with freight forwarders regarding shipping documents and delivery times
- Providing administration support to purchasing/logistic/warehouse officers where required
- Coordinate material and equipment deliveries, arrange transportation and liaise with Site re off-load and storage requirements
- If the goods delivery date (ex-supplier) has changed, ensure all stakeholders are aware of the change.
- Collaborate and build effective and strong working relationships with suppliers, customers (End users) and members of the Supply and Logistics teams.
- Evaluate production schedules and progress reports from Suppliers to determine if their programme and progress meet project required on site dates
- All other duties assigned by the employee’s supervisor appoint by the company
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s degree qualification
- At least 2 years of experience in Purchasing, Logistics, or Warehouse operations
- Superior command of English and Lao Language
- Good competency in SAP system
- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Superb organizational skills
- Ability to achieve outcomes against all odds
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
