We are looking for a Quality Control Biologics Team Leader for our Braine Biological testing Center (BBC) who is proactive, detail-oriented, and a strong leader to join our QC Braine Biological testing Center (BBC) team, based at our UCB campus in Braine-l'Alleud, Belgium.
The role requires flexibility in working hours and participation in an on-call rotation one weekend out of three (phone support).
About the Role
As a Quality Control BBC Team Leader, you will oversee the team of technicians to ensure timely and safe analysis of biological products manufactured on Braine Campus supporting in-process control testing and product release. You will play a key role in supporting audits, product launches, and driving continuous improvement.
Who You Will Work With
You will collaborate closely with the Production team, Quality Assurance team, stakeholders, and other parties to ensure smooth communication and effective management of lead times and investigations. You will also work with your team to enhance their expertise and support their development.
What You Will Do
- Manage teams of technicians to ensure timely and safe QC analyses.
- Provide responsive in-process control testing support across shifts to meet production needs.
- Support audits and product launches by sharing data with authorities.
- Handle actions, deviations, and investigations in collaboration with QA.
- Coach and develop technicians and support troubleshooting in the lab.
- Drive continuous improvement in a GMP-regulated QC laboratory environment.
- Ensure a safe working environment and apply the company's Health and Safety policy.

- Master’s degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience.
- Experience managing a QC lab and leading a team.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Fluent in English and French.
- Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize tasks.
- Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement skills.
